Sharing memories from our contest weekend this year in this video...
Sound of the Heartland was successful in putting our big sound on stage in Tulsa, Oklahoma this weekend! With 19 members, and a few who are new to the stage, the ensemble was awarded fourth in Small Choruses. What a great way to share a contest together with our newest members!
Ladies, you can now find our ensemble on www.Meetup.com! Join the group and read about individual members, receive up-to-date information on rehearsals and much more!
Paula Davis will be back with us on Sunday, February 8 for coaching. Paula's coaching will help us put to use the skills of singing with expression and the physicality of singing.
Detour had the honor of coaching with some of the finest at Region 25's Quartet Retreat in Frisco, TX (Jan30-31) - with Dale Syverson, Mary Rhea and Ruth Ann Parker.
Paula Davis will be with us January 15-17 for an extended coaching session in Newton, KS. She is an SAI Certified Expression Judge and currently the organization’s Judge Specialist in that category. Paula has served on the Sweet Adelines Board of Directors since 2011, on the Executive Committee since 2013, and is serving now as President-Elect. In addition, Paula is a Certified International Faculty Member and a chorus/quartet coach, while singing Bass in the Velvet Hills Show Chorus and Bonfire quartet.
Coaching dates for Sound of the Heartland Ensemble.
